Dear Colleague:
The Rhode Island
Association of Admission Officers, in conjunction with the Rhode Island
high schools, public and private, will be sponsoring the 32nd
Annual Regional College Fair.
The program will be hosted at the Community College of Rhode Island in
Warwick, Rhode Island, on Sunday,
October 19, 2008 from 1:00 to 3:30 p.m.(please note the time change).
Students from all
sixty-two Rhode Island high schools and several schools in nearby
Connecticut and Massachusetts will be invited to meet with college
representatives from across the United States. Over 225 institutions,
from Providence, RI to Honolulu, HI, participated in last year’s college
fair attracting more than 5,000 high school students and parents.
The program will
begin promptly at 1:00 p.m. and will conclude at 3:30 p.m. Table
displays are allowed, but should not exceed 18” in height or 36” in
length (large-scale displays will not be permitted). A financial aid
presentation will be offered for students and families attending the
college fair. Lunch will also be available before and during the fair.
Due to the
tremendous attendance in past years, we request that at least one of
your representatives be a member of your school’s professional staff.
The RIAAO Fair will
be the only regional college fair program in Rhode Island during Fall
2008 and has been endorsed by the National Association of College
Admission Counselors (NACAC).
Please complete the
enclosed registration form indicating whether or not you will be joining
us. Your check in the amount of $200.00, made payable to
RIAAO,
must be
returned with the registration sheet to the RIAAO Clearinghouse
Coordinator. A response will be considered valid only if all of this
information is received. The reply date is September 1, 2008.

will be considered tardy and assessed a $25 late charge. No refunds
will be issued for cancellations of attendance after October 15, 2008.
